I am not marrying my soulmate in September. I am marrying the man i want to continue discovering the future with, I can not imagine it otherwise. We have been through a lot together: two deployments to iraq, ups and downs, love and death, inspiration and funks, near and far, change and consistency, secrets and truths, quite moments and loud graces, the new and the old, frustration and clarity, long drives and quick kisses, privacy and public display. There has been much and yet there is a life time more.

I put a hold on Wedding planning so I could…

focus on graduating. Masters degree, must be smart. I think I am. Funny, I put all this crap off so I could focus on school and looks like I missed something important.

THE PETITION TO GRADUATE: DUE NOVEMBER 15.

Apparently my ADVISOR did not feel the need to ADVISE me to do this at the beginning of the semester; when we discussed that I would be graduating this semester and what courses I had to take to do so. FUNNY. I thought that is what my $40K (for a mere 32 credit hours, do the math)  in tuition partially went to. I guess sending a notice e-mail wasn’t in that budget.

Conveniently they now want me to pay a $200 late fee for submitting it. Hells F-ing NO!

I love the response I received from my advisor; “The process for graduation is initiated by the student”. Convenient, I thought this was clear when I entered your office and we discussed the previously mentioned. In my law classes (at your school) we learn that nothing is valid with out NOTICE, you sure as hell better bet I’m not paying your $200 late fee w/ no notice of ANYTHING.
